WOW! It’s been such a long time since I’ve updated you and posted content on my website. I’ve been trying to learn different things to make this better and figure out exactly what I want to be doing here.
And, even though I still don’t fully have a plan yet, I did decide on something…
I started a YouTube Channel!
I have been noticing that more and more people are turning to videos instead of reading. So, while I still want to write and post content here, I have decided to supplement it with video. Any way you want to take in my content will be yours. Cue the Journey song: “Anyway you want it, that’s the way you need it, anyway you want it.”
In my first video, I discuss what I hope to do with the channel and tell the story about how wrecking motorcycle became a blessing in disguise. Everything that I have accomplished (that I could remember – but I’m sure I’m missing SO MUCH) is also talked about, with the hope of inspiring others to get out in the community to LIVE LIFE!
There are still so many opportunities for us with physical disabilities to seize. From going to the gym to work out and give praise to what the body CAN still do, to eating healthy, kayaking (my personal favorite), advocating for others with disabilities, going to concerts, and the list goes on.
My Hope
My hope for my YouTube Channel is to show my wins, fails, tips, tricks, and daily life through vlogging. Like I already mentioned, my hope is to inspire and teach people that life is not only possible after a spinal cord injury, but it also can be fulfilling, rewarding and so enjoyable!
Please comment below with what you think about this, if you have any ideas or suggestions about what to post, or (if you dare) how I’ve helped you in any way.
As always, leave me some feedback either here – below this post, e-mail me (megs@thewheellifeblog.com), or on any of my social media platforms! (FB/IG/TW @wheellifeblog and Snapchat @megsh8). I would love to hear from you and what I can do to help. If there is ANYTHING that you want to hear about – please let me know! I can’t do any of this without YOU, so I would love to connect with you!
Let’s keep those happy thoughts, productivity and self-care going! And until next time, live honestly, passionately, and with kindness!
