“New Year, New Me.” Sound familiar?? I used to say that too. But, over the years I have switched mindsets and because I have done so, I know that 2019 will be my best year yet.

Did you know that 92% of those who set New Year’s Resolutions end up “falling off the wagon” by March?? 92%!!! That number is astounding to me. And, that is exactly why I don’t make resolutions anymore. Instead, I continue my monthly planning sessions, creating 90 day goals, and a plan for achieving them.
Yep, I just keep on keeping on
It’s the same process that I have talked about over and over again. And, that’s why I created my Ultimate Goal Setting Guide. I believe this process is so powerful that I wanted to share it with the world.
Before I created this Guide, I tried out numerous types of goal setting processes and journaling ideas. I’ve tried out so many I lost count. I incorporated the things I liked from all the processes I’ve tried out (and many had commonalities) and came up with this process. I have been using this for the past 2 years and I have consistently seen improvements in my life and achieving goals.
I’m still using my bullet journal to keep track of these goals. I love that I can design the pages however I want them and get as creative as I want. It gives me the artsy release that I crave while still being productive and staying organized. If you decide to try it out, there are a million videos on YouTube with different designs and layouts. That’s where I learned. If you want specific people, send me a message and I’ll be happy to share!! You can email me, or send me a message on any social media platform. My details are at the bottom.
A Year In Review (in one paragraph)
2018 continued to be a year of changes for me. A pretty major move, reconnecting with old friends, letting go of toxic friends, paying off my credit card debt, two surgeries and a pretty big shift in mindset when it came to health and fitness. I can’t say that 2018 wasn’t good to me, because it was. Through all the struggles came my learning experiences and I can’t trade those in for anything. Struggles in life are inevitable. They are certain. But looking at them not from a victim perspective, but a learning and opportunity perspective is the key to finding the silver lining and persevering through them. That’s how you keep a positive attitude no matter what life throws at you.
Forward and Onward
I’ve got some great things in mind for this coming year. I will continue to use my Ultimate Goal Setting Guide process to tackle each project, in 3 ten minute tasks each day. Breaking down bigger tasks into much more manageable tasks is the key to completing it. At first, the list of to-dos seems daunting.
Because each task is broken down, it seemed like I had wayy more to do than ever before. But, once you pick 3 tasks a day, things just keep getting crossed off, and that list shrunk. Now, I have gotten used to this process and I’m not bothered by a seemingly long to-do list. I know I will get it done. Not everything has to be done in one day. Just keep crossing things off. You will get there and that's what my Ultimate Goal Setting Guide teaches.
For this year, I have chosen the theme “rise above.” To me, this means making a better decision than the day before. It’s not about being perfect. No one is perfect. I think that’s actually included in the definition of being human. But, if you try to be better than the day before, good things will happen. Progress will happen. That’s why I’m choosing that theme for 2019.
